Jadranka Andjelić [1963]

Co-founder of DAH Theatre Research Centre, theater director

Directed and developed different activities of the DAH Theater Research Center from its foundation in 1991 untill 1997. She has created programs and organized festivals, guest workshops, and meetings between theaters worldwide. Between 1997-2002, she directed performances in Denmark, with OM Theater and other international projects. From 2003 to 2007 in DAH Theater Research Center she direct performances under the Jadranka Andjelic Project [‘SEEKERS’ and ‘THE SHIFTING MIRROR’] as well as creating activities in the Research Center with her colleagues. She initiated the long-term project In/Visible City in 2005. In 2007/2008, Jadranka was the artistic director of MAPA Serbia, [Mobile Academy of Performance Arts, Amsterdam, Netherlands]. She was the selector at the International Festival of New and Alternative theater- INFANT, in Novi Sad, Serbia, in 2009 and 2010.

From 2008 -2018, Jadranka lived and worked in Rio de Janeiro [Brazil], where she continued to create performances and organize festivals with SEQUÊNCIA FILMES, MÚSICAS E CÊNICAS. She is one of Artistic Directors of the International Festival of Women in Scenic Art– MULTICIDADE in Rio de Janeiro, 2015 and 2018.

Jadranka has stayed in continual artistic collaboration with DAH Theater and joined again in 2019.

Winner of the ARTSLink scholarship in the USA, New York. With Dijana Milošević, she received recognition from Eugenia Barba, who shared his Luigi Pirandello Award with the directors in 1997. She won the Otto Rene Castillo Award in New York-USA for engaged theater (with Dijana Milosevic and DAH Theater) in 2007, as well as the ERSTE Foundation INTEGRATION Award for the project In/Visible City, DAH Theater Research Center, 2009.

With her performances and workshops, she has toured across the Europe as well as Brazil, Greenland, Mongolia, Morocco, New Zealand, the USA, Singapore and Great Britain.
