ALICE AND KAFKA ARE DEAD/LONG LIVE THE ROSENBERGS

How to solve a problem like that of Ethel Rosenberg’s? Or Alice’s, in Wonderland? Both were condemned to death, one in a fairytale, the other in real life. A historic trial and a great literary fate cross paths in this co-production, which explores what these stories of the death penalty have in common. As the headlines of today suggest, exciting trials make for the best theater. [2005]
