MAPS OF FORBIDDEN REMEMBRANCE

This performance is a story of emigration- a hot topic today in Yugoslavia. Is it possible for an artist to create outside of their home country? What are the consequences of this decision? [2001]

Cultural differences are the focus of interest in this story which discovers the relation between progress, artistic responsibility, and the sources of strength in dark times. The story takes place in 3 locales- Savannah, Georgia, USA, Seville, Spain, and the Balkans region.

The performance was realized as a co-production with 7 Stages Theater, USA.
